Profilassi antibiotica perioperatoria con ceftriaxone nella chirurgia oncologica demolitiva e ricostruttiva del cavo orale-orofaringeo

In this rwtrospective trial 58 patients with oral and oropharingeal carcinoma underwent demolitive and reconstructive surgery. Patients were divided in 3 groups in terms of perioperative prophylaxis administered. Risk analysis was also undertaken considering the parameters surgical technique, tracheotomy, limphnodes emptying and duration of the intervention: although having not achieved a statistical significance, due to the small sample size, rates of infection related to these factors are comparable to those observed in literature.
