In the frame of an international research project, gravimetric and DGPS measurements have been carried out for studying bedrock shape and ice depths of an alpine temperate glacier located in northern Italy. Gravity data were recorded along 18 profiles, 1 to 1.5 km long, and the Bouguer anomaly was calculated. A 3D geologic model was created and the gravity response was compared with the observed data. Best adjustment was achieved by applying successive iterative corrections to the geometry of the model. GPR and seismic reflection data were used to constrain gravity modelling. The results show good accordance of the different methods. A gravity survey combined with other geophysical methods supply very useful information about the glacier structure and its possible evolution.
