The paper deals with a system of parabolic–hyperbolic partial differential equations, which models the diffusion of N species of isotopes of the same element, possibly radioactive, in a multidimensional medium. Some qualitative properties of the solutions, such as localization property, are studied together with the asymptotic behavior for large times.

Abstract
