This contribution proposes a study of the energy nedeed to the greenhouse for a fixed cultivation and with the evaluation of the Levelized Cost Of Energy (LCOE). Since the micro-climate condition is a pre-requisite for each cultivation, then a devoted design is absolutely necessary. For this aim, a comparison has been made among three typologies of structural materials (single glass, polycarbonate, and double glass) in order to select the best material to be used for the cultivation of roses. With the focus on the possibility to design a Zero-Energy Greenhouse (ZEG), the paper considers also an integrated Photovoltaic (PV) plant for each one of the three typologies, taking into account the energy needed for heating and cooling as well as the correct positioning of the PV modules, in order to not interfere with the natural growth of the roses cultivation.

Abstract
This contribution proposes a study of the energy nedeed to the greenhouse for a fixed cultivation and with the evaluation of the Levelized Cost Of Energy (LCOE). Since the micro-climate condition is a pre-requisite for each cultivation, then a devoted design is absolutely necessary. For this aim, a comparison has been made among three typologies of structural materials (single glass, polycarbonate, and double glass) in order to select the best material to be used for the cultivation of roses. With the focus on the possibility to design a Zero-Energy Greenhouse (ZEG), the paper considers also an integrated Photovoltaic (PV) plant for each one of the three typologies, taking into account the energy needed for heating and cooling as well as the correct positioning of the PV modules, in order to not interfere with the natural growth of the roses cultivation.File | Dimensione | Formato | |
