The preparation of drug release products needs the use of some swelling agent, normally a solvent, for introducing the required active drug in the polymer. The solvent, afterwards, must be eliminated according to the restrictions in terms of solvent content of the drug. The removal of dichloromethane from a product containing polyvinylpirrolidone and megesterol acetate has been performed by using supercritical carbon dioxide. Solubility data in supercritical carbon dioxide at 313.1 and 333.1 K have been determined.

Abstract
The preparation of drug release products needs the use of some swelling agent, normally a solvent, for introducing the required active drug in the polymer. The solvent, afterwards, must be eliminated according to the restrictions in terms of solvent content of the drug. The removal of dichloromethane from a product containing polyvinylpirrolidone and megesterol acetate has been performed by using supercritical carbon dioxide. Solubility data in supercritical carbon dioxide at 313.1 and 333.1 K have been determined.Pubblicazioni consigliate
