Results from wave pattern analysis have been investigated both for traditional ships and for high speed crafts, in two different towing tanks. Three geosim models of Series 60 CB = 0.70 up to Fn = 0.31, two geosims of a fast monohull and one model of a round bilge catamaran up to Fn = 1.10 have been tested. Different methodologies of wave pattern analysis have been utilized. In addition, the results from the experimental wave pattern analysis have been compared with the corresponding theoretical ones deriving from the application of a numerical panel method in transverse cut analysis of the computed wave pattern has been carried out.

Abstract
Results from wave pattern analysis have been investigated both for traditional ships and for high speed crafts, in two different towing tanks. Three geosim models of Series 60 CB = 0.70 up to Fn = 0.31, two geosims of a fast monohull and one model of a round bilge catamaran up to Fn = 1.10 have been tested. Different methodologies of wave pattern analysis have been utilized. In addition, the results from the experimental wave pattern analysis have been compared with the corresponding theoretical ones deriving from the application of a numerical panel method in transverse cut analysis of the computed wave pattern has been carried out.File in questo prodotto:
