This paper introduces a novel gas sensor platform for use in biometric and environmental monitoring applications. The sensor is constituted of a multilayer thin film structure deposited on polyimide flexible substrate, allowing its use in disposable and low cost applications. The sensing technique is based on dielectric and thermal spectroscopy. A differential layout allows an active polymer and a reference to be used. The combination of these techniques should enhance sensing capabilities, with higher gas sensitivity and immunity to interfering inputs.

Abstract
This paper introduces a novel gas sensor platform for use in biometric and environmental monitoring applications. The sensor is constituted of a multilayer thin film structure deposited on polyimide flexible substrate, allowing its use in disposable and low cost applications. The sensing technique is based on dielectric and thermal spectroscopy. A differential layout allows an active polymer and a reference to be used. The combination of these techniques should enhance sensing capabilities, with higher gas sensitivity and immunity to interfering inputs.File in questo prodotto:
