This paper evaluates resistance and powering performance in subcritical condition of an Icebreaking Emergency & Evacuation Vessel (IBEEV). The IBEEV is operated by AGIP KCO in the logistic fleet supporting activities around the offshore Kashagan field in the very shallow waters of the Northern Caspian Sea. The hydrodynamic performance of the vessel in shallow waters has been studied on the basis of model data from resistance and self-propulsion tests performed at KSRI. Measurements from bollard pull and self-propulsion tests allowed assessment of the rope pull capability with accuracy required by such a special vessel.

Abstract
This paper evaluates resistance and powering performance in subcritical condition of an Icebreaking Emergency & Evacuation Vessel (IBEEV). The IBEEV is operated by AGIP KCO in the logistic fleet supporting activities around the offshore Kashagan field in the very shallow waters of the Northern Caspian Sea. The hydrodynamic performance of the vessel in shallow waters has been studied on the basis of model data from resistance and self-propulsion tests performed at KSRI. Measurements from bollard pull and self-propulsion tests allowed assessment of the rope pull capability with accuracy required by such a special vessel.File in questo prodotto:
