The authors as a consequence and completion of the proceeding report (XXI Congr. SIOCMF, Firenze, 1987) stress the need of a total protection that holds also the radiant contamination and they dwell upon the risks derived from the crossed infections. On this subject they consider the real contagiousness of the carrier chronich patients of hepatitis B in a large epidemiologic study. The authors stress some meaningful particulars of the barrier's techniques like the structure of the nonwaven disponsable and sterile drapes, gowens and masks; finally make clear the characteristics of Glutaraldeyde-based disinfectants so asto give useful informations for a right choice.
