Abstract
An examination of some terms present in the only extant Middle English statute-book containing the statuta antiqua shows early technical legal usage not noted in the Middle English Dictionary, as well as the same for Anglo-Norman in the Anglo-Norman Dictionary. It also shows however however the greater freedom with which writers could adapt non-technical terms to a legal context.File in questo prodotto:
