From the academic year 2011-2012 the Faculty of Engineering proposes the launch of an international programme of studies for the Master of Sciences Degree "Production Engineering and Manufacturing” with the German University of Applied Sciences, HochSchule Ostwestfalen-Lippe in Lemgo, which will enable students to acquire both the Italian and the German degree. The regions of Ostwestfalen-Lippe (OWL) in Germany and Friuli-Venezia Giulia in Northern Italy have many things in common. Both are largely rural, but heavily industrialized with the presence of small and medium-sized enterprises: the wood and furniture industry, in particular, the plastics industry and mechanical engineering that play an important role in both regions. OWL and Friuli-Venezia Giulia are currently, in terms of innovation and economic performance of the furniture industry, as well as specifically of sub provision, dominant in Europe. Economically, there is a very good network. This volume collects the synthesis of some work carried out, together with professors, by graduate students in Germany and in Italy (Pordenone), with the aim of presenting results that relate to industrial realities of the two regions.

Abstract
This volume collects the synthesis of some work carried out, together with professors, by graduate students in Germany and in Italy (Pordenone), with the aim of presenting results that relate to industrial realities of the two regions.Pubblicazioni consigliate
