This book aims at investigating and specifying the essential traits of the theoretical elements sustaining the discourse framework of his 1941 texts, by confronting the above elements with Franz Brentano’s (1838- 1817) project of renewing Thomism through a new understanding of Aristotle. The secondary literature concerning the comparison of both these authors is almost non existent. Our goal is to investigate some of the most important steps of this confrontation through the direct textual analysis, examining the central issues in order to sufficiently clarify the discourse and using unpublished materials, i.e. letters of Fabro exchanged with Agostino Gemelli on Brentano and his pupil Carl Stumpf.
