Article 191 of the TFEU concerns the foundations of the Environment Policy (and Governance) in the European Union Law. The study explains the aims and principles of EU Environmental Law, their international origin, their implementation in EU instruments (mainly directives and regulations), and at international level. Moreover the study describes the principles recognized by the Court of Justice for the allocation of competences and responsibilitiies in environmental matters between EU and its Member States
