Abstract
The paper presents a summary of the early cults located in the Colonia Iulia Emona, whose foundation is attributed to the initiative of Octavian in the years after 33 B.C. Albeit the archaeological records quite scarce, the epigraphic evidence allows us, instead, to offer some thoughts about the role of Iuppiter Optimus Maximus, Aecorna (non-Roman deity) and Hercules in the pantheon of the city’s first imperial age.File in questo prodotto:
