We first describe types of disability insurance products, and common policy conditions. Then a probabilistic model for insurance covers providing disability annuities is defined, adopting a time-discrete approach. The construction of actuarial values, premiums, and reserves follows. A more general actuarial framework is finally sketched, by adopting the multistate approach.
