These hoards were found at the end of the 20th century in the Gaza Strip. The first one includes 21 solidi (10 of Valentinian I and 11 of Valens). The second one includes 9 solidi (8 of Justinian I and 1 of Justin II). The hoards illustrate the use of the solidi on the market of Palestine during the Fourth century and in the mid-Seventh century.
