The Universal Declaration of Human RightsUDHR) has a fundamental role in the de-velopment of all international acts concerning the protection of human rights. This book aims at analyzing the role of the UDHR, notwithstanding the debates about its nature of soft law, customary law, etc. It is divided into different focuses, concerning on the one hand the international and national relevant case-law, and on the other hand the perspec-tives enshrined in some fundamental principles. The book is one of the first outcomes of PaDNU Pace, Diritti umani, Nazioni Unite – Peace, Human Rights, United Nations), a Project funded by the Region Friuli Venezia Giulia, to which we address our broadest thanks.
