By computing realistic synthetic seismograms, the neo-deterministic seismic hazard map has been prepared for Pakistan and adjoining areas in terms of Dmax, Vmax, and DGA values. The seismic hazard is found to be highest in Muzaffarabad, Islamabad, Kashmir, Awaran, Karachi, and Makran coast, as the seismic hazard is controlled by the largest event in the area. The DGA value for this region is found to be 0.6e1.20 g. In the other regions of high seis- micity, such as Quetta, regions of Chaman fault, estimates of DGA values are as high as 0.30%0.60 g. The peak velocity and displacement are also high in those earthquake-prone zones. The ground-shaking values are definitely high for the existing infrastructure and could result in great damage and huge socio-economic losses due to the high economic importance of the areas.
