The study took place in the context of the P.I.P.P.I. (Intervention Program for the Prevention of Institutionalization), a social innovation program started in Italy in 2011, which aims to implement innovative interventions to support negligent families and reduce the risk of the placement of children. The study aimed to understand if and how the reflexive and inter-professional training conducted in the program could lead to a change in the representations of professionals towards families. The data obtained using quantitative and qualitative tools, and in particular, through the analysis of the professionals’ discourse, showed a partial change of these representations.
