The Friuli Venezia Giulia (FVG) region, located in the northeast of Italy, is characterised by frequent heavy precipitations that recurrently trigger debris flow phenomena. Forecasting tools for the debris-flow analysis are useful with a view to a territorial planning. This work aims to pursue two main objectives: - Evaluate the solid-liquid discharge, - Test the propagation of the solid-liquid discharge down the slope till its stop. In order to study the propagation of the debris-flow we first identified three rheological models and then implemented them into an in-house numerical model.

Abstract
The Friuli Venezia Giulia (FVG) region, located in the northeast of Italy, is characterised by frequent heavy precipitations that recurrently trigger debris flow phenomena. Forecasting tools for the debris-flow analysis are useful with a view to a territorial planning. This work aims to pursue two main objectives: - Evaluate the solid-liquid discharge, - Test the propagation of the solid-liquid discharge down the slope till its stop. In order to study the propagation of the debris-flow we first identified three rheological models and then implemented them into an in-house numerical model.File in questo prodotto:
