Tra il villaggio e la giungla. I luoghi sospesi dall'(in)ospitalità di confine

The paper deals with the phenomenon of profuganze, stratifications of waves of refugees in a border region, in the view of their translation into spaces, usually in marginal areas. We propose a reflection on the structures designed or adapted to host, assist, control migrants and refugees over time and the forms of resistance enacted by migrants, their choice to live in wild or abandoned places to escape the institutionalized living, through case studies and design experiences.
