In Friuli-Venezia Giulia, in a closed valley near the Slovenian border, the very specific circumstances of an isolated community have produced a unique paleo Slovenian culture, not only in language, music and traditions, but also in ways of living and organize the territory. The attachment to their own habits and traditions has led the Val Resia residents to elaborate multiple strategies in order to attract tourists to their territory. This way, they guarantee the maintenance of small, local economies, thus ensuring basic social and economic safeguards by promoting and enhancing their cultural heritage and local products. By illustrating some of the strategies adopted by local associations, this paper tries not only to enrich the debate on territorial dynamics aimed at ensuring touristic and economic stability, but also to start reflecting on the index that is normally adopted by administrators to read the territorial usage.

Abstract
In Friuli-Venezia Giulia, in a closed valley near the Slovenian border, the very specific circumstances of an isolated community have produced a unique paleo Slovenian culture, not only in language, music and traditions, but also in ways of living and organize the territory. The attachment to their own habits and traditions has led the Val Resia residents to elaborate multiple strategies in order to attract tourists to their territory. This way, they guarantee the maintenance of small, local economies, thus ensuring basic social and economic safeguards by promoting and enhancing their cultural heritage and local products. By illustrating some of the strategies adopted by local associations, this paper tries not only to enrich the debate on territorial dynamics aimed at ensuring touristic and economic stability, but also to start reflecting on the index that is normally adopted by administrators to read the territorial usage.Pubblicazioni consigliate
