Social Welfare in Italy between the Postwar Period and the Cold War: The Circulation of Knowledge and Transnational Models

This essay explores the evolution of social welfare in Republican Italy during the Cold War through the lens of the transnational circulation of Anglo-American knowledge and models. It analyses how foreign frameworks influenced the development of an Italian welfare approach, assessing their adaptation and contribution to new knowledge, and considers whether the peculiar transnational dynamics of the Cold War accelerated their implementation.
