This chapter is framed in the context of the recommendation on countering education fraud (Council of Europe 2022b). This contribution would like to be an input to the implementation of the recommendation, by offering in the first part evidence-based information on codes of ethics provided by ETINED countries and by students. The second part describes the implemtation of the code of ethics in Italian universities, as a country case study in one ETINED member state.
