This short text is an experiment in critical fiction, an investigation that belongs to the domain of reflective knowledge, an action where design fiction can be understood as a form of “reflection on the possible,” through which the architect can interrogate the disciplinary design corpus at their disposal, applying the research question: “how could it have been?”. The operation does not seek to reconstruct improbable philological evolutionary lines, but to construct a possible universe, an architectural heterocosm. This alternative world becomes a tool for investigating modernity, understood not so much as a coherent form of linear progress, but as a constellation of unrealized possibilities, specters of a future that never came to pass. In this scenario, architecture is the construction of an alternative world in which Le Corbusier is a prophet of a world built in concrete and crystalline silicon. Where solar energy becomes design substance.
