New acustic data (Chirp) and samples collected in the marine area between Bovalino and Siderno allow to infer the main morphological and sedimentary dynamic processes active in the Southern Calabrian Ionian Margin. In this area the interaction among the “fiumare”, the coastal dynamics and the activity of the canyons is particularly evident and controlled by the tectonic activity. Within a recent regional uplift of the “Calabrian Arc” differential vertical movements occur along the Bovalino and Siderno canyons.

Abstract
New acustic data (Chirp) and samples collected in the marine area between Bovalino and Siderno allow to infer the main morphological and sedimentary dynamic processes active in the Southern Calabrian Ionian Margin. In this area the interaction among the “fiumare”, the coastal dynamics and the activity of the canyons is particularly evident and controlled by the tectonic activity. Within a recent regional uplift of the “Calabrian Arc” differential vertical movements occur along the Bovalino and Siderno canyons.File in questo prodotto:
