Time series of seawater temperature (at the depths of 0.3 and 2 m), measured at 10 min intervals at the mareographic station of Trieste (DST, University of Trieste) in the years 1996-2008 give statistical informations about daily, monthly and annual mean and extreme values, diurnal and annual cycles, vertical stratification and air-sea temperature differences. The 1946-2008 annual and seasonal seawater temperature series at 2 m, homogeneous to the present records, generally show increasing trends. During the recent air and seawater warming phase, the air-sea temperature difference (sea is warmer) decreased from typical 1.5 to 1.2 °C.

Abstract
Time series of seawater temperature (at the depths of 0.3 and 2 m), measured at 10 min intervals at the mareographic station of Trieste (DST, University of Trieste) in the years 1996-2008 give statistical informations about daily, monthly and annual mean and extreme values, diurnal and annual cycles, vertical stratification and air-sea temperature differences. The 1946-2008 annual and seasonal seawater temperature series at 2 m, homogeneous to the present records, generally show increasing trends. During the recent air and seawater warming phase, the air-sea temperature difference (sea is warmer) decreased from typical 1.5 to 1.2 °C.Pubblicazioni consigliate
