In this work the gaschromatographic technique has been employed to determine infinite dilution activity coefficients of some VOC (volatile organic compounds) in a troglyceride, triolein. Triolein-water partition coefficients Kt/w have been evaluated and compared with octanol-water partition coefficients Ko/w. The distribution factors between water and triglyceride have a linear behaviour with the solubility in water. The determination of infinite dilution activity coefficients in thetriglyceride and the use of the correlation reported allows a quick and accurate evaluation of the relative solubility.

Abstract
In this work the gaschromatographic technique has been employed to determine infinite dilution activity coefficients of some VOC (volatile organic compounds) in a troglyceride, triolein. Triolein-water partition coefficients Kt/w have been evaluated and compared with octanol-water partition coefficients Ko/w. The distribution factors between water and triglyceride have a linear behaviour with the solubility in water. The determination of infinite dilution activity coefficients in thetriglyceride and the use of the correlation reported allows a quick and accurate evaluation of the relative solubility.Pubblicazioni consigliate
