Les juifs italien et le Risorgimento: un regard Historiographique

This essay focuses on the historiography of Italian Jewish participation in the Risorgimento. It aims to provide an updated view on the ongoing research, and to illustrate the themes that have been analyzed up too now and those still waiting to be studied. In the first part, historiographic production from the Sixties to the Nineties has been explored. The second part focuses on the stimulus created by recent historiography on the Risorgimento. A new generation of historians has examined the variuos aspects of the involvement of Italian Jews in the battles and political struggles of the period, delving into important and unexplored matters, regarding the inner and external paths of the Italian Jewish Communities during the era of Emancipation
