A 78-year-old woman presented with a solitary large, pigmented lesion located on her abdomen. The clinical diagnosis was suggestive of a pigmented basal cell carcinoma because of the asymmetric shape, the well circumscribed, pearly raised borders, and the crusted areas (Fig 1).
