Einige lexikalische Bemerkungen zu einem vor kurzem veröffentlichten osmanisch-türkischen Transkriptionstext

A book entitled Anonymous Italian‒Turkish Dictionary. From the Marsigli Collection in Bologna (Kraków, Księgarnia Akademicka 2015) was recently published by Ewa Siemieniec-Gołaś. This book is a valuable resource as it makes available a hitherto unknown Turkish transcription text, but it is open to criticism from the lexical viewpoint, since a number of Ottoman‒Turkish words are labelled as ‘difficult to identify’, ‘not confirmed in other sources’ or the like, whereas they are perfectly identifiable. Other words, moreover, are identified completely incorrectly. This paper aims to provide a correct identification for all these words.
