L’accadere del sorprendente: kairós e charis

The text considers two concepts - event and grace - in their interrelation, seen in the human subject experience, in search of self and in constant transformation. The proposal proceeds from the intent to unlock the concepts value, starting from the philosophical-theological tradition that forged them, to show their meanings in terms of anthropological correspondences. Starting from the Greekness, grace and event were thought as fundamental terms, expressing the luminosity of the manifestation, the feeling of gratuitousness, the advent of what exceeds necessity. The essay sketches the dynamic of grace (charis), which has its own irruption time (kairós) and acts accordingly to the principle of the inexhaustible, to whom corresponds an ethics of generosity without measure. The encounter, the inspiration, the non-narcissistic enjoyment are privileged moments illustrating the rich constellation of event and grace.
