This paper analyzes about two hundred Roman imperial coins, found during the excavations carried out at the Caupona of the god Pan/Mithraeum of the coloured marbles (IV, ix, 5), within the Ostia Marina Project. The building is located in the suburban district of Ostia along via della Marciana. This structure, dated around the middle of the 3rd century AD, shows signs of renovations and restorations that took place during the third quarter of the 4th century AD, in correspondence with a change of use: from a place of refreshment to a place of worship. The single coins are to be considered indicators of the period of life of the structure.
