The present paper aims to investigate circular business models and the key role assumed by reverse logistics in promoting sustainability and the reduction of negative externalities associated with various economic processes. The objective of this paper is to investigate how reverse logistics is integrated within corporate circular business models. The objective is to highlight how the implementation of circular business models depends as much from a management of company production processes as from the optimization of reverse logistics and from an accurate analysis of company location dynamics, aimed at a more effective and efficient use of resources through optimal management of resources by transforming waste into raw materials following the principles of repair, recycling, and reuse. The methodology adopted involves qualitative and inductive analysis starting with the definition of the theoretical framework of circular business process. In this context, it will be essential to analyze and define reverse logistics, assisted by a survey about the geographical location of waste to be processed and industrial production sites.
