Logic is often presented as a discipline characterised by traits that make it special. This idea of logic as an exceptional science has been the subject of strong criticisms, especially in recent years, giving rise to a movement known as Logical Anti-Exceptionalism. In this article I present the position and then examine its theoretical legitimacy. The question of whether logic is exceptional or not will not be asked, but, by reviewing the latest contributions on the subject, it will be discussed whether the category of anti-exceptionalism is really coherent and useful in setting the debate on the nature of logic. The answer will be negative.

Abstract
Logic is often presented as a discipline characterised by traits that make it special. This idea of logic as an exceptional science has been the subject of strong criticisms, especially in recent years, giving rise to a movement known as Logical Anti-Exceptionalism. In this article I present the position and then examine its theoretical legitimacy. The question of whether logic is exceptional or not will not be asked, but, by reviewing the latest contributions on the subject, it will be discussed whether the category of anti-exceptionalism is really coherent and useful in setting the debate on the nature of logic. The answer will be negative.Pubblicazioni consigliate
