Correction to: transumbilical laparoscopic-assisted appendectomy for acute appendicitis in children: appendiceal stump inversion is not necessary - a retrospective study

Following the publication of the article [1], the authors noted that the dosage of Metronidazole was mistakenly reported between brackets in the Methods section. The correct dosage of Metronidazole at our institution is 7.5 mg/kg, 3 times daily, every 8 h; maximum 500 mg per dose. The authors confirm that this correction does not affect the conclusions of the paper and apologize for any inconvenience caused.
