Università tra foodspace e foodscape. Una ricerca progettuale su diritti, pratiche e spazi

Nelle varie mission degli atenei, quella legata al raggiungimento degli obiettivi di sostenibilità alimentare si sta progressivamente affermando come una delle più promettenti per esplorare nuove possibili contaminazioni tra università e città. Attraverso progetti e politiche alimentari l’università può rivendicare una nuova ‘agency’ nei territori di riferimento e allo stesso tempo, può ripensare i suoi spazi attraverso la lente dei ‘foodspaces’. Adottando una prospettiva progettuale, questo contributo si interroga su quali siano i ‘foodspaces’ che garantiscono la convergenza tra sostenibilità e giustizia socio-ambientale e su ome essi possano riscrivere le relazioni tra contesti, scale e attori, contribuendo a rendere le università dei ‘foodscapes’ alternativi/Among the various missions of universities, the one related to achieving food sustainability goals is progressively emerging as one of the most promising avenues for exploring new synergies between universities and cities. Through food projects and policies, universities can assert a renewed ‘agency’ within their surrounding territories, while also rethinking their own spaces through the lens of ‘foodspaces’. This contribution, adopting a design-oriented perspective, examines which types of ‘foodspaces’ ensure the convergence of sustainability and socio-environmental justice and how these spaces can reshape the relationships between contexts, scales, and actors, thus contributing to universities becoming alternative ‘foodscapes’.
