Abstract
In recent de- cades, port evolution has been increasingly conditioned, especially in con- tainerized transport, by the strategic choices of the large shipping companies, which have become key players in global capitalism. Their choices, in fact, have an increasingly significant impact on the articulation of the global value chain, with important consequences on the competitiveness of port systems and on the very relationships that ports establish with the territorial contexts in which they are located. In this sense, maritime multinationals have played and continue to play an essential role in the so-called “logistics revolution”. This contribution intends to question what forms the hybridization process between strategies that can be traced on the one hand to government action, in its various levels, and on the other hand to the new functional geographies dictated by the business logics linked to the evolution of global and financial capitalism, may take.Pubblicazioni consigliate
